Questions about Wound Care & IV Therapy
Yes. Wound treatments and IV therapy are provided under a physician's order. We can help coordinate with your doctor or the discharge team.
Wound care and IV therapy are provided by our licensed nurses (RNs and LPNs), not by aides.
Nurses watch for warning signs such as redness, swelling, fever or line problems, and contact your physician when needed. In an emergency, call 911.
Yes. Caregivers can help with personal care and mobility and report any concerns to the nurse, while the nurse handles all wound and IV treatment.
